The living room
A room built around a fire and a wall you can throw a film onto.
It runs open off the kitchen and out through a glass door into the courtyard, so in summer the room effectively doubles. Burgundy velvet chairs, a deep sectional, and enough seating that six people are not negotiating for it.

Films

There is no television here and no cable, which is deliberate. Instead there is a projector that throws a properly large picture onto the wall, with Roku built in, so you sign into whatever you already pay for and carry on as normal.
How to turn it on, focus it and pair a speaker is on the projector page.
The fireplace

Electric, so there is nothing to light and nothing to put out. It runs with or without the heat, which matters in August when you want the look of it and not the temperature.
For a slow evening

Chess, cards and a small shelf of games, including Cascadia, which is set in this part of the world and is a reasonable way to spend a rainy hour. There are books too, mostly art and a few about Seattle.
